Rus Anson was born in Tossa de Mar (Girona, Spain) in 1983 and is a professional photographer with a Master’s degree from the Academy of Arts in San Francisco.
She lived in the United States for over a decade, in Los Angeles and New York, working on advertising photography projects for major multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Google, and Guess, among others.
Additionally, she develops her artistic side creating fine art photographic projects and her work is already part of private collections both nationally and internationally.
Currently, she combines her work at LAMARE with other photographic assignments and with interior design projects for both residential and commercial clients.
Nana Cardona, born in Barcelona in 1978, has been captivated by art and painting since a young age. She studied at the Llotja School of Art in Barcelona and holds a degree in Political Science from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, as well as the Institute of Sciences Po in Toulouse (France). For over fifteen years, she has immersed herself in the world of contemporary art, contributing to various projects across Vietnam, the Philippines, and Catalonia, where she resides. Her work has been shaped by her collaborations with notable institutions such as Casa Asia and Fundació Vila Casas, both in Barcelona.
From 2013 to 2018, she served as the director of the Can Framis Museum of Contemporary Painting in Barcelona, part of the private Fundació Vila Casas. Since 2019, she has pursued a freelance career as a researcher, artist, and entrepreneur.
Her paintings can be found in private collections across the globe, including the United States, Canada, Switzerland, and the Philippines.
LAMARE, The Mediterranean Shop, opened its doors June 2024 in Tossa de Mar, Costa Brava. Nana Cardona and Rus Anson, both Mediterranean lovers, mothers and admirers of art, culture and design, created this colorful shop to bring their art closer to the public and share the wonders of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
LAMARE, The Mediterranean Shop, combines an art gallery and a concept store in one space, with one particularity: the two founding partners are the creators of all the artistic content and the curators of the rest of the items in the shop.
With the desire to bring their creativity closer to the public, they sell reproductions of their own work on paper in the form of posters and postcards.
They have also created their own brand of souvenirs and design.
